“Bagdad Blues” series were all created by the artist during his visits to Baghdad and show exterior views of the city. They also show domestic scenes and, above all, draw a portrait of the reality of life of the local people. The title is an observation of the artist that after many years of suffering, people have lost joy, and the atmosphere is charged with an incredible heaviness.
